Our client is a global market leader in the provision of open-pit mining and drilling services to the biggest blue-chip metalliferous mine sites in Western Australia and the goldfield regional areas. They boast as having an impeccable fleet of surface mining rotary blast hole drill rigs equipped with latest ergonomically designed and innovative technology. Their brands are well renowned with a strong focus on productivity and safety. They are currently seeking a Heavy Duty Mobile Plant Fitter to join their maintenance team in Perth, Western Australia..
OPPORTUNITY
This position is particularly suitable for individuals who possess a strong background in mobile plant/diesel mechanics/hydraulics/electrical systems but may not have prior experience in maintaining and repairing surface mining/ drilling machinery. However, they should be open to learning and gaining expertise in this area through initial training in a workshop environment before being ready to work on-site. For this opportunity, the right candidate must be to be based residentially in the Perth areas.
The opportunity will see the successful applicant achieving:
Carrying out workshop component change out/in (e.g. feed and return, ropes, blown hoses, top/bottom sheaves, feed cylinders, pumps and rotation motors), minor an d major component rebuilds and overhaul.
Carrying out all task with the highest safety standards and to OEM specifications.
Adhering and committed to company's health and safety procedures and regulations
Diagnostic and fault finding issues using CANBUS / rig control system to identify malfunction codes.
Troubleshooting complex hydraulic/electrical system problems.
This encompasses carrying out workshop component rebuilds their fleet of surface drill rigs (manual control and autonomous ) Atlas Copco/Epiroc Pit Viper 231, 235,275, 271, Atlas Copco/Epiroc DML,T40 Atlas Copco/Epiroc D65 autonomous ranges and or similar manned or autonomous Sandvik DR416, DR412/10, D75K/D50KS/45KS,Cat/Bucyrus SKS-S/SKS-W and a diverse array of diesel/hydraulic and next generation underground mining drilling rigs and mine trucks.

REQUIREMENTS
You are required to hold a trade certification in Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology, Certificate III in Electrical Technology, or possess relevant trade experience from a related field in heavy commercial automotive (Mack, Kenworth, Scania), agricultural and/or construction plant(Cat, Hitachi, Komatsu) machinery. You should have demonstrated problem-solving skills, along with a collaborative approach to teamwork. Your capabilities should include exceptional/ strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic abilities, fault-finding expertise, and troubleshooting proficiency. You should also be proficient in reading and interpreting hydraulic and low-voltage electrical schematics. Strong communication skills are essential, as they enable you to cultivate long-term customer relationships.
