First Focus, Australia's best national Managed Service Provider, is seeking a people focused Branch Manager/HR Generalist, on a full-time basis at our office in the Brisbane CBD. The ideal candidate will have experience working as an office manager or Executive Assistant in a professional services environment with some HR responsibility
About the role
This role revolves around people and has two main parts. First, you will be responsible for the office environment in our Brisbane branch, driving employee engagement and being an ambassador of the First Focus values! And then you will support people managers across our national business, assisting with coordination in areas such as compliance, performance management and training.
Reporting to our Chief People Officer, you will maintain an exceptional culture and working environment in our Brisbane CBD office and ensure that the office runs smoothly and efficiently. You will build strong personal relationships with every member of the Queensland team and be the eyes, ears, hands and feet of the People function in Queensland.
In addition, there will be opportunities to get involved in number of different people functions across the organisation including training, onboarding, performance, employee relations and compliance. As the role develops, creating and delivering training, implementing new employee benefits, coordinating areas of compliance and contributing to outstanding teamwide communication may all come into the scope of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high levels of happiness and employee engagement in our Brisbane office
- Day to day management of office facilities, vendors and equipment
- Be the ‘feet on the ground’ for people managers with remote employees in Brisbane
- Provide an exceptional experience for new employees joining our Brisbane team through organic or acquisitive growth
- Prepare training content and/or deliver training to various teams across the organisation
- Assist people managers by coordinating documentation and compliance in areas like employee relations, compliance and performance
- Administer applications and systems including our LMS, employee engagement software and performance management system
- Form part of a broader team of Branch Managers overseeing employee engagement across Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines
- Office management experience, ideally in a professional services environment
- Highly developed emotional intelligence and a passion for people
- Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- A warm personality and a great sense of humor!
