The Role
As a Project Engineer, you will report directly to the Project Manager and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality projects. This position demands technical expertise, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. You will be instrumental in ensuring that project delivery aligns with our standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and update project delivery programs, addressing and mitigating deviations from baseline schedules.
• Supervise field activities to ensure compliance with project documentation and specifications.
• Coordinate site delivery of consumables and materials in line with project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including financial records, QA/QC reports, as-built drawings, and construction contracts.
• Ensure site compliance with all relevant Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S), environmental, and industrial relations legislation.
• Maintain and make accessible all current project drawings, specifications, and site documentation.
• Procure materials, resources, and equipment in accordance with company purchasing procedures.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Implement Inspection and Test Plans to ensure works meet client specifications and requirements.
• Represent DSD Constructions Pty Ltd in verbal communications with clients.
• Attend site and office meetings, preparing and distributing minutes.
• Report key project updates to the Project Manager and Site Manager.
• Organize project teams, approving suppliers and subcontractors while ensuring their compliance with legal and company standards.
• Monitor and manage project expenditure, taking corrective action where necessary.
• Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Stay updated on industry changes, technology advancements, and workplace practices.
• Ensure timely and accurate project reporting.
