What’s my day to day look like?
We are looking for another member of our Environmental Health family. This role is full time and based in our team at the Shire of Moyne, about 3.5 hours SW from Melbourne. Here's how you’ll be spending your days:
• Working closely with Kernow’s Moyne team and the Team Leader, Western to deliver the Environmental Health Service;
• Undertaking food and health premises compliance inspections;
• Waste water assessments and on-site inspections;
• Investigating food safety and public health complaints;
• Providing tobacco educational visits and compliance inspections;
• Undertaking food sampling visits; and
• Investigating infectious disease notifications.

What do you need from me?
To be successful in this role, you will have recent experience as an Environmental Health Officer operating in a local government environment. Supplementing this experience, you will possess an Environmental Health qualification, Bachelor of Health Science or other relevant tertiary qualification. Graduates of Environmental Health and Health Sciences are also encouraged to apply as on the job training will be provided.
You will have excellent communication skills and you’ll be happy working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment. You’ll be great with people and be able to manage different stakeholders. You will be motivated to develop professionally and embrace new technology.
