Our Journey
The Mental Health Intellectual Disability Initiative - Adults (MHIDI-A)/Stronger together team is part of the Casey Adult Mental Health program and is located in Thomas Street, Dandenong. We provide consultation, multidisciplinary specialist assessment and treatment to people who have been diagnosed over the age of 16 years, with developmental-intellectual disability and a co-existing diagnosed mental health condition or suspected mental health condition (dual disability), many of whom will have complex presentations and challenging behaviours. We now have an exciting opportunity available for an Educator - Registered Psychiatric Nurse to join us, working full time, 80 hours per fortnight (with a monthly ADO).

A Day in the Life:
This role works in collaboration with the clinical team and a range of internal and external stakeholders, to assist in improved outcomes for consumers with diagnosed or suspected mental illness and co-existing intellectual disability (dual disability).
This will be achieved by developing, implementing and evaluating education and training as in relation to the MHIDI-A program objectives. This role will also carry a small clinical case load.
A key requirement of this post is education and capacity building of health and disability care professionals.
This opportunity is full time role ongoing role working Monday to Friday.
The position will also work in collaboration with other team members to consolidate the Model of Care, formulate clear service policy and guidelines and ensure the service is compliant with Quality & Safety, OHS and all other areas of reporting.

About You:
You are a suitably qualified Mental Health Nurse
You have experience in or have a keen interest in the intellectual disability sector. Whilst you can work autonomously you are also a strong team player and work efficiently in a team environment and are passionate to achieve outstanding outcomes for our consumers. You are also an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles.

What you need:
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a discipline such as Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and/or Social Work
Current Victorian Drivers Licence
Experience working with people with a Dual disability; Mental Health and Intellectual Disability is highly desirable but not essential

The Casey Area Mental Health Service is led by an innovative and supportive leadership team that seeks to provide an innovative and recovery-based model of mental health care that will continue to develop with our growing community in the Southeast growth corridor. The Continuing Care Team model of care is a non-acute follow up to people with mental health issues, requiring specialist mental health treatment that is not met by generic services. This service is aimed at providing case management support and treatment for consumers with a severe/persistent mental illness aged 25 to 65 years.
We are seeking a new team manager to join our team in Pakenham on a full time basis, working Monday to Friday 830-5pm. This position is open to Registered nurses, Occupational Therapist or Social Workers.

A Day in the Life
In this leadership role you will work with adult consumers with varying degrees of psychiatric or mental illness and/or drug and alcohol dependency problems. Continuing Care Team Manager is expected to provide both clinical and organisational oversight to the Continuing Care Team. Using clinical experience and expertise, supporting both the treating team, clients and families/carers to achieve their recovery goals.

What you need:
Evidence of commitment to working in Mental Health - Post Graduate Qualification in Mental Health as outlined in the position description

The School Readiness team are an integral part of the Child and Family program. The School Readiness Program is an exciting initiative at Monash Health that will provide kindergartens with access to quality programs and supports to help children get the most out of their early learning.
Kindergartens within Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia areas receive school readiness funding, with access to allied health being one of a number of supports available to kindergartens. Through the funding, kindergartens with large numbers of educationally disadvantaged children will receive increased allied health support.
The allied health clinicians will be required to:
• work collaboratively with kindergartens and DET area staff across Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia area to plan for how they will utilise their allied health entitlement
• build the capability of educators and families to support children through coaching, modelling, group training, case consultation support and other discipline specific services
• provide child focused psychology, occupational therapy, and speech pathology support to kindergartens and to families and communities.

Our Journey
The Social Work Department is looking for experienced Grade 3 Social Workers to join our growing team at Monash Health, Moorabbin Hospital, working in the oncology and general medicine settings. This role is a permanent part-time on-going role (0.8 EFT or four days per week). You will have the opportunity to join a dynamic social work and multi-disciplinary team where you will have a pivotal role in contributing to a positive team culture.
The Social Work Service at Monash Health assists patients and families with psychosocial support and advocacy through assessment, counselling, information provision, access to community resources, and discharge planning. Social Workers function as members of the multidisciplinary team and have a pivotal role where social complexity exists.
The Social Work Service operating hours are standard business hours Monday to Friday. A weekend service is provided by roster at Casey, Clayton, Dandenong and Victorian Heart Hospital sites and an on-call service is also provided to the acute sites.

A Day in the Life:
As the Grade 3 Social Worker, you will be an experienced and skilled clinician with consolidated psychosocial assessment and planning skills and use evidence to inform practice to enable you to carry a complex clinical caseload. You will also be required to provide team leadership, lead Quality and Improvement initiatives, and provide education and training to staff and students. Training of undergraduate Social Work students and secondary school students is undertaken throughout the year. A caseload will be carried in designated areas, maintaining clinical expertise.
Having a sound understanding, and working knowledge of the range of the service systems including Family Violence, Child Protection, My Aged Care, Transition Care Program, and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), Mental Health and the recovery model is essential, to ensure we provide high quality, evidence based social work service to all patients and families at Monash Health. It will also be expected that you will have responsibilities and actively participate in quality and research activities. You will work in accordance with and be professionally accountable to the standards of the AASW and Social Work Credentialing and Scope of Practice, Supervision, Code of Ethics and Practice Standards.

About General Medicine
General Medicine provides an acute general medicine service for Monash Health across its three acute care campuses. General Medicine is the largest single medical inpatient activity at Monash Health with approximately 21,000 inpatient episodes per year.
Inpatient services are supported by General Physicians at the following locations:
General Medical Services at Monash Medical Centre are currently provided by 5 multidisciplinary teams largely across two wards. Registrars will be responsible for direct acute and ongoing clinical care. This is supported by both full-time staff specialists and VMOs.
At Dandenong Hospital General Medicine admits a very diverse range of patients including a high volume of subspecialty presentations supported by full time and Visiting Medical Officer consultants in a collaborative inter-professional model of care.
At Casey Hospital the General Medicine Unit provides acute general medical care in a high growth corridor and is supported by visiting consultants with a range of subspecialty expertise.

About the Role
The Unaccredited General Medical Registrar reports to the Head of Unit at each site. The role of the Unaccredited General Medical Registrar (UGMR) is one of provision of timely, compassionate and clinically competent care to inpatients, supervision of junior staff, and communication within the multidisciplinary team. The team requires leadership and coordination to function well and to provide good care. This role allows the UGMR to run the Unit in partnership with the consultant and nurse manager. The Unaccredited General Medical Registrar may be asked to rotate through General Medicine units during the 12-month appointment including a period of time on night duty.
The Unaccredited General Medical Registrar may be asked to contribute to the development of innovative service models in acute medical care provision in order for the service to provide care across a range of clinical areas and in response to clinical demands. The Unaccredited General Medical Registrar will have the opportunity to develop skills relevant to and contribute to clinical research projects and quality improvement and clinical audit initiatives within General Medicine. They will participate in the General Medical component of the medical undergraduate educational experience for Monash University students in third and fifth year on a day-to-day basis.
The appointee will be expected, in conjunction with their supervisors and managers, to manage their own professional development in General Medicine and associated areas in preparation for their future career development.

Unit 1 at Monash Health Dandenong is a 25 Bed inpatient unit which sits within the Dandenong Adult Mental Health Service under the Mental Health Program. The service provides care to consumers aged between 25-65 who require short-term inpatient management and treatment during an acute phase of mental illness. Situated in Dandenong, Unit 1 services a culturally diverse population. The multidisciplinary team work with consumers to provide a range of therapeutic interventions and programs, whilst also working collaboratively with families and carers to provide education and guidance on how to best support consumers during their recovery.

About Us

The Clayton Adult Emergency Department provides tertiary emergency services for adult patients across Southeast Melbourne and surrounding regional areas. The Department is responsible for over 60,000 emergency department presentations annually. Once fully commissioned, the adult emergency department will have 75 treatment spaces, including six resuscitation cubicles, eight isolation rooms and a 20-bed adult short stay unit.

There is also a purpose-built Mental Health and Other Drugs (MHAOD) hub, which includes six dedicated cubicles, interview, and sensory rooms to provide an optimal environment to assess and manage patients presenting with behavioural health needs. The Adult Emergency department sees presentations requiring tertiary level care for Neurosurgery and Stroke services and also includes a diverse range of specialist support services onsite.

About You

About The Role

This is an exciting and rare opportunity for a qualified and experienced Nurse, Division 1 to work within the Early in Life Mental Health Service inpatient unit.

We currently have part and full time ongoing roles working across a 24/7 rotating roster.

About You

You are an experienced Mental Health Clinician with previous experience within a youth / adolescent mental health setting. You also have previous experience within adolescent mental health nursing, and familiarity with milieu therapy. You also have excellent communication skills and are able to work well with young people, related services and their families within the multidisciplinary team setting. You will also work collaboratively with the various components of the ELMHS service, and provide leadership to the unit on a shift by shift basis, and add to the leadership group of Stepping Stones. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Grade 2 Hand Therapist for a full time permanent ongoing role. The team comprises occupational therapists, physiotherapists and an allied health assistant and is primarily based at Dandenong Hospital with adjunct satellite clinics at Clayton and Casey. The hand therapy team is located within the out-patients department with busy clinics running daily and providing an excellent environment for team learning and a multidisciplinary approach. There may also be opportunity for some Work from Home, providing telehealth intervention.

Monash Health runs the largest acute Hand Therapy service in Victoria, servicing a range of patients across the entire life span. There is a focus on those with traumatic injuries who have received plastic and orthopaedic surgery and there will be a variety of other clinical presentations. The Hand Therapy Team has a close relationship with the Plastics and Orthopaedics surgical teams and prides itself on delivering best care to maximise a patient’s return to function. Our commitment to service improvement also provides opportunities for involvement in research and implementation of evidence-based practice. These roles will have responsibilities across the full range of our hand therapy service, both in the acute trauma caseload and in the Adaptive Hand Therapy Clinic.

An exciting project initiated by the Department of Health being undertaken by Monash Health, the Adaptive Hand Therapy Clinic will provide evidence-based and effective intervention for patients with specified hand conditions that respond well to non-surgical treatment, thereby enabling increased numbers of people to be removed from surgical waiting lists. Clinical teaching is a core activity, involving staff supervision and active support of student placements. You will be involved in service development, working parties and clinical groups as needed, working with the Hand Therapy team and out-patient department to provide an excellent service and implementing service changes as required.

About the role

Join our team as a Director of Clinical Operations on a fulltime Monday-Friday, ongoing position, to work at based from Monash Children's Hospital, supporting across multiple sites of Monash Health. About the Role

We are presently looking for an experienced Grade 2 Social Worker for a permanent, full-time role. The Monash at Home, Aged and Rehabilitation Service is based at Kingston Centre in Cheltenham and at Cranbourne. The successful applicant will be expected to work at either site, or work across both sites.

About Us

The Monash at Home – Aged and Rehabilitation Care service, previously GEM at Home, launched in December 2020 and is a fundamental part of the broader Aged and Rehabilitation Division, providing safe and high-quality home-based subacute level care for individuals with complex medical, functional, and often cognitive issues, who require comprehensive, medically led multidisciplinary assessment and optimisation.

The service is seen as an alternative to hospital-based subacute care, designed to facilitate an earlier discharge from acute care and/or to avoid a subacute hospital stay entirely. Patients within the service receive at least daily visits from a member of the multidisciplinary team and access to 24-hour telephone support.?The model of care aims to provide short term, high quality, safe and effective patient centred care to individuals within the primary Monash Health catchment. The Program is entering an exciting phase of growth which will include, but not limited to, increasing the service clinical capacity and extending the geographical catchment.

Monash Health Mental Health Services provides a range of community, bed-based and specialist services covering the Casey, Cardinia, Greater Dandenong, Kingston and Monash LGAs – a population of nearly one million.
