We are proudly part of Japan Post - www.tollgroup.com About the role Toll Uncrewed Systems is a Division of Toll Aviation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Remote Instructor and Operator . In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management, deployment, and reporting of training within the Toll Uncrewed Systems for corporate and contract training in NSW. You will work closely with the senior Toll Aviation management team and report though to the Deputy Chief Remote Instructor, Contract managers and Chief Remote Pilot as well as other key stakeholders to ensure training excellence and compliance with all regulatory and contract requirements. Key Responsibilities
Deliver training and assessment of Toll Uncrewed Systems courses in accordance with the approved lesson plans, package guidelines in alignment with CASA, ASQA and DASA requirements.
Assist in developing and maintaining training, operational and contractual relationships with senior management and corporate clients
Develop, enhance and maintain training materials as directed by management to suit corporate client training needs and scenarios.
Monitor student progress and currency through their training and ongoing cyclic training requirements
Maintain, enhance customer engagement and relationship development to a high standard and in the interest of the TOLL group and industry.
Carry out and complete company pre & post flight documentation, operational uncrewed mission planning and operations flight duties in accordance with ReOC and CASA RePL approvals and ratings
As directed by the CRP Uncrewed systems support and operate with Toll Helicopter Rescue in accordance with documented procedures
Undertake when directed by DCRP or CRI currency flights, assessment and documentation management for uncrewed pilots and contractors.
As directed by the CMO Maintain uncrewed systems equipment in a state of operational readiness
Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need:
Subject matter excellence in CASA Part 101 Civil Aviation Safety Regulations and Manual of Standards
Subject matter excellence in drone types and specialist equipment used by the business
Demonstrated experience in working with the Emergency Services for Training and Operations
Experience in curriculum development, practical and theoretical training design and development
Highly motivated with strong organisational & time management skills
Able to prioritise and work well under pressure
Advanced use of the MS Office Suite in programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Publisher, Visio &/or Access
Qualifications
Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or a pilot instructor rating issued under Part 61 of CASR
Current First aid (current)
A minimum of 50 logged hours of non-training operational experience in RPA operations under a ReOC, operating each of the RPAS categories for which they will be conducting practical RePL training
RelevantCASA qualifications or endorsements for courses being delivered. Minimum
CASA Sub 7kg Multi-rotor and Fixed wing
CASA Sub 25kg Multi-Rotor and VTOL
Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
CASA Sub 150kg VTOL (preferred)
CASA Sub 150kg Multi-Rotor (preferred)
BVLOS OCTA Aeronautical Knowledge exam or IREX Exam - PASS
BVLOS and EVLOS Class 1 and 2 operational experience
Advanced demonstrated use and understanding of Uncrewed and Aviation Systems software (eg Mission Planner, AVCRM, DJI Pilot, DJI Flight Hub, NAIPS, CASA Portals, Airdata, OZ Runways)
Critical thinking capability to analyse complex issues, evaluate perspectives and make informed decisions based on evidence and research
Customer service orientation - detailed understanding and strong curiosity about our customers and what adds value to them
Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills
Ability to resolve conflict to a positive, business value-added outcome
Ability to establish and maintain effective support and rapport with personnel at all levels
