We are proudly part of Japan Post - www.tollgroup.com We are looking for a HUET Instructor to join our team at The ACE Training Centre in Bankstown, or someone suitably qualified to develop into one. Training delivered by The ACE Training Centre primarily supports Aeromedical operations around NSW and the ACT. For more information please click on the link - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS52vEF7rDE In addition to this primary function, The ACE Training Centre also supports a wide host of customers in Search and rescue, Defence, Maritime, education and private aviation sectors. Reporting to the HUET Manager, this role is responsible for operational requirements of the HUET Pool Facility. These requirements include course administration, maintenance, pool hire activities, staff training and delivery/assessment of accredited/non-accredited training course packages which include classroom theory and pool/simulator practical training. The role will be based at The ACE Training Centre. Working Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm. Some variation to these standard working hours may be required to meet operational requirements. This role involves a healthy mix of administration & maintenance tasks along with practical face-to-face training. Key Responsibilities
Hold or be willing to obtain Certificate IV Training and Assessment and utilise this qualification to deliver and assess accredited HUET & EBS training and other endorsed non-accredited courses.
Participate in and supervise on-site training and diving activities ensuring adherence to company diving policies and procedures.
Obtain and maintain certification & recency requirements for the following team ratings, HUET Instructor, Water Safety Officer, Safety Diver, Air Fill Station Operator, METS Rescue Hoist Operator, METS Rescue Swimmer.
Conduct pre-operational and post-operational equipment/area checks for scheduled activities IAW Toll standard operating procedures and OEM requirements.
Liaise with customers regarding enquiries and reservations for scheduled pool activities and courses. This includes responding to email or website enquiries and guiding customers through the booking process
Update Learner Management System "AXcelerate" with scheduled courses, student enrolment information and process certifications as required.
Proactively monitor and conduct scheduled preventative maintenance as scheduled in our Equipment Management System "D4H". Reporting any equipment unserviceability and operating issues to HUET Manager as required.
Assist with monitoring and delivering the annual Emergency Breathing System service schedule for Toll Helicopters and maintain accurate service records in D4H.
Schedule and supervise suitable HUET staff to meet operational requirements and achieve safe outcomes.
Plan and conduct Team Training Requirements as required IAW OPM (Operational Procedures Manual) and as alerted by our Safety Management System "Air Maestro".
Update the Air Maestro SMS with all relevant staff data including qualifications, recencies and rostering.
Assist the HUET Manager and ACE General Manager with other duties, as required.
Skills & Experience
Hold Certificate IV Training and Assessment or be willing to obtain it.
Hold a SCUBA Instructor Qualification with ADAS WHS Certificate, or hold ADAS occupational diving certification Part 1(R) or above, along with the following:
Hold current Senior First Aid Certificate
Hold current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate
Hold a current AS/NZS 2299.1 Occupational Divers Medical
Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills, verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels both internal and external to the organisation.
Must be a confident public speaker, technologically literate (Microsoft Office), professional, reliable, approachable, punctual, customer centric, proactive, safety focused, willing to set the standard, willing to step-up as required and always lead by example.
