Are you an experienced, Handyperson, with a passion to add value? You'll be part of a hard working small Team reporting into the property Maintenance Supervisor. Your problem solving skills and existing maintenance skills will help you in this casual role. You may assist across both locations, Pumphouse Point and Derwent Bridge Hotel. You'll have flexibility to work on weekends as required.
This casual role offers 2-3 days as a Handyperson, with remaining shifts assisting in Food & Beverage or Housekeeping depending on your skillset and experience. Staff accommodation is also available.
What you’ll do:
- Incidental maintenance repairs in rooms, amenities and other facilities.
- Incidental customer service assistance with in-room repairs.
- Assist with building projects, major repairs, renovations, mechanical repairs - painting, basic plumbing or replacing hardware.
- Maintenance of grounds and gardens
What you’ll bring:
- A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
- Good time management and an eye for detail
- An ability to follow direction related to daily tasks and expectations
- Demonstrable experience in property maintenance
- Experience with power tools
- The ability to work under pressure
- Knowledge and understanding of safe working procedures
- Have an ability to work unsupervised with a "hands on" work history
- Be hardworking, energetic, enthusiastic and possess a reasonable level of fitness
- Willingness to work in Housekeeping or Food & Beverage as required
