What You'll Do:
A Full Time salaried opportunity, reporting to the Cafe Manager, you will assist in guiding the Cafe team to deliver an exceptional service to our resort guests. Shifts can be rostered across a 7-day period and generally for an 8 hour shift anytime between the Cafe opening hours of 7am - 7pm. Weekend and Public Holiday availability is required.
You will assist with:
- Basic food prep and cooking
- Working alongside the Cafe Manager, Resort Manager and Department Heads
- Stock take, ordering and rostering duties to support the Cafe Manager
- Training, or guiding the Cafe team and ensure service standards are met
- Barista duties as required
- Other duties as may be required from time to time due to operational needs.
What You'll Bring:
Ideally, you will have previously had extensive experience in a Cafe or Bistro setting and you are now ready to move into a role where no one day will ever be the same. Your hands on experience will assist in leading & mentoring the department to success.
- Experience in a cafe/bistro/restaurant and or previous customer service experience.
- Food Safety Certificate
- Outstanding guest relations and communications skills and the ability to relate to and host resort guests from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds
- Knowledge of and ability to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
- Ability to maintain control and composure in difficult situations
