Our client a major player in gold production is currently seeking a Senior Underground Mine Planning Engineer. Reporting to the Alternate Underground Manager, the primary role will be to lead the planning team and ensure the long-term growth and viability of rare operation hosting both gold and nickel resources. Delivering short, medium and long term mine plans and optimizing the life of mine.
Requirements:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering;
First Class Mine Managers Certificate;
First Aid Certificate (desirable);
Competent using Deswik.
Position Duties:
Develop and deliver 13-week plans, designs (stope, Mini-DAF/DAF, vent models), extraction notes, reconciliations, and operational reports;
Manage databases (Plodtrack, Livemine) and oversee drill, blast, and mine reserve preparation;
Review geotechnical reports to ensure stope compliance and highlight critical path activities for budgets, forecasts, and plans;
