Patel United SA Pty Ltd T/A Virgara Fruit & Veg Virgara Fruit & Veg is looking for an experienced truck driver full time to meet our growing operations with retail stores and commercial accounts to deliver fresh fruits and vegetables. Applicant should have 2 years of experience in driving and meet the regulatory requirements for a license and others. Benefits Annual Salary: $73,500 plus superannuation Working Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM Task & Responsibilities Operate Vehicles Safely : Drive heavy rigid (HR) vehicles in compliance with road regulations and company policies. Adhere to designated routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery. Loading and Unloading : Safely load and unload goods, ensuring that produce is handled with care to maintain quality and freshness. Use appropriate equipment to facilitate the safe movement of goods. Delivery Operations : Deliver fresh produce to multiple stores and corporate clients, meeting delivery deadlines. Maintain delivery records, including logs of completed routes and goods delivered. Vehicle Maintenance : Perform routine inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and report maintenance issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and proper functionality of delivery vehicles. Compliance and Safety : Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and workplace health and safety standards. Conduct all tasks in accordance with company procedures, including safe handling and transportation of goods. Communication : Liaise with the logistics team to update delivery progress and report any issues encountered on the road. Qualification & Experience Qualifications and Requirements: Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's license. Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar delivery role, preferably within the fresh produce industry. Strong knowledge of Adelaide and surrounding regional areas. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks. Commitment to safety and adherence to road regulations.
