The Role This is a unique opportunity for someone with specialist knowledge and experience in the management of civil airworthiness approvals and the delegation and authorisation of CASAs regulatory powers to external individuals to make certain approvals on behalf of CASA. These airworthiness approvals include certificates of airworthiness, special flight permits, minimum equipment lists, and certain specialist maintenance approvals. The Airworthiness and Engineering Branch is responsible for policy, legislation, guidance material, internal procedures and processes for all elements of the airworthiness domain, as well as; aircraft certification; regulatory services and surveillance of design and production approval holders; monitoring and addressing unsafe conditions of in-service aircraft; and maintaining Australia's airworthiness obligations under the Chicago Convention and other international agreements.
