Position Title: Full Time Computer Network and Systems Engineer
Salary: $81,000 + Superannuation
.
Tasks include:
• Planning, developing, deploying, evaluating and optimising computer network and system services
• Administration and Maintenance of systems and infrastructure as directed by MIS Managers.
• Establishing and maintaining network users, user environment, directories, and security attributes.
• Oversee setting up and troubleshooting communications between computers, networks, data switches, printers, and other network and wireless resources.
• Providing routine after-hours maintenance and emergency support as needed to maintain and secure network and systems.
• Configuring, Installing, and Maintaining Systems, LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi hardware, software, and telecommunications services
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, user support, security, and backup.
• Testing, learning and evaluating software and hardware.
• Conducting research to obtain current information about latest trends in networking
• Troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.
• Design, Specify, configure, install, and maintain systems, LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi hardware,software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, systemsoftware, software applications, printers, servers, routers, switches, wireless devices,cabling, and dedicated Internet connection
Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Engineering is required
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Deep understanding in Cisco wireless, Wireless controllers, Access points, WPA2,
• Proven experience working in a Systems Administration / Level 3 Support role preferably within an MSP environment
• Advanced knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP and Windows 2012 through 2019
• Experience in Office 365, Azure and AWS administration is desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of Networking technologies (switching, routing, VLAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN)
• Experience in managing a large, distributed inventory of network equipment maintaining software updates and version consistency
• Excellent Hands -on knowledge of virtualization is essential (VMware, HyperV preferred)
• Networking certifications a plus CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, CWNA, etc.
