As a member of the Category Management Team, the Category Specialist will support the Category Manager to execute category portfolio strategies.
The Category Specialist will also lead the end to end category management process for the Construction & Building categories, leading the development of categories and sourcing strategies, end-to-end contract lifecycle management (including strategic sourcing), cost optimisation, partnering with business functions to drive procurement policy and compliance and championing Endeavour’s ESG ambitions.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Development of category and sourcing strategies, RFXs, contract negotiations, contract management plans and supplier relationship / performance management and reporting in line with SRM/SPM plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide guidance on procurement decisions.
- Conduct market research and data analysis to identify emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities for optimisation via spend analysis and tail spend management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor and report upon supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements, addressing any issues or discrepancies as needed.
- Champion sustainable procurement practices, ensuring that environmental and social considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.
- Influencing and mobilising stakeholders to deliver impactful change through clear communications and presentation
- Promote and drive a comprehensive understanding of the Procurement Policy and its associated processes.
- Represent the Endeavour Group Category Management team.
