Fitter role available to join our SQS teams, to be assigned in either NSW, QLD, SA, VIC, or WA

Your main objective is to Operate Machinery and handle product as per customer requirements. To succeed in this position, you will need to have industry related experience within similar positions, a strong work ethic and strong safety focus.
The ability to carry out work with minimal supervision, a keen and enthusiastic approach to your work and willingness to work over time will help you ensure success in this role.
DUTIES include but are not be limited:
To operate equipment, i.e., Brake Press, Plasma, Roller etc. according to specified procedures to ensure optimal efficiency of production, maintenance of equipment and adherence to safety regulations as per requirements of customer.
Read basic drawings.
Load and unload materials safely onto cutting table, plate racks and trucks as required.
Record and document daily material usage as per procedure.
Carry out daily general maintenance on equipment and record daily inspection report.
Monitor the use of consumables and report to Leading Hand/Workshop Manager for replenishment.
Operate travelling jib cranes and overhead cranes.
To maintain warehouse in good working order to maximize efficiency, with emphasis on good housekeeping.
Follow instructions of Warehouse Supervisor.
To conduct all duties in accordance with procedures as specified in quality system to ensure quality maintenance.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Knowledge of steel
Knowledge of mechanical handling equipment
Crane drivers’ certificate
Knowledge of machine operation
Read engineering/fabricating drawings
