JoinPro Australia PTY LTD are a highly skilled team of commercial joinery specialists-based West of Brisbane. With expertise in commercial, education, aged care, and multi-residential joinery, JoinPro excel when it comes to large-scale joinery projects. We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Furniture Finisher to join their team in Warwick QLD 4370.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Studying drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine requirements
- Selecting tools and machine requirements and determining sequence of actions
- Setting up woodworking machines and wood stock
- Running machines to cut, plane, turn, shape and sand work pieces
- Applying stain, lacquer, paint, oil and varnish to furniture, also polishing and waxing finished furniture surfaces
- Fitting frame pieces, handles, hardware, hinges and backing materials as required
- examine and disassemble furniture to determine the extent of damage or deterioration and the best method for repair or restoration
- recommend woods, colours, finishes, and furniture styles
Skills and Abilities:
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Furniture Finisher
- A Cert III in Furniture Finishing or relevant
- Ability to work in a team environment
- repair broken parts and fill cracks and imperfections
- follow plans to produce specific designs
- remove old finishes and damaged or deteriorated parts
Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
