Role Description:
This is a full-time office based role (Minimum 38hours per week) located in Sydney, NSW for a Contract Administrator at DARA Contractors. Key Responsibilities:
Manage contract administration duties, including procurement, claims, and variations
Oversee subcontractor and supplier agreements and negotiate terms to ensure smooth project delivery
Partner closely with project managers to ensure budgets and timelines are met
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Liaising with clients, suppliers and main contractors
Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
Value engineering
Tender evaluations and analysis
Contract negotiations
Procurement
Final account reporting
Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans
Ensure cost forecasting and cost codes are accurately maintained and keep project management teams abreast of any costs issues immediately upon identification
Interpret specifications and drawings so as to understand scope of works for the project
Monthly Progress claim reviews and submissions
Maintain a register of suppliers
Manage supplier progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
Requirements
Minimum of 4years experience in Contract Adminstration
Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software
Demonstrated track record of winning and managing major projects
It is a must to have a degree in Engineering
Previous experience in a Contracts Administrator role within the Construction or Engineering industry
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in relevant software packages such as Microsoft Suite (including Excel)
