This role is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the smooth and profitable operation of all kitchen activities at the Village whilst delivering a service and standard that is equal to or superior to other Villages.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and supervise the work of the kitchen team in the absence of, or as directed by, the Executive Chef, motivating the team to provide a timely, well presented, appropriately garnished, standard food product.
Undertake and provide to more junior staff, technical and other training as required, and to attend periodic team and individual meetings as required.
Promote a safety culture amongst staff by providing information, training, instruction and supervision in managing workplace risks.
Ensure all kitchen and front of house staff have good product knowledge and can advise guests of dish composition.
Ensure the efficient and productive use of labour in the Kitchen
