Ellett Contracting was established in 2010 by Managing Directors Michael Ellett and Kellie Ellett. Originally, the company was contracted by Co-operative Bulk Handling (CBH) to facilitate Grain Covering Operations, but as a result of rapid growth and diversification, the business has expanded into Commercial Building Services.?
Now, Ellett Contracting complete a range of building and construction works specifically focusing on structural and mechanical projects, as well as maintaining integral contracts with Western Australian leading grain handlers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Reading and interpreting plans to determine specifications for materials and positioning of components
• Structural steel fabrication
• Light Aluminium and stainless fabrication
• Assist in the construction transportable units including fit-out
• Onsite welding if when required
• Installation of transportable units to various sites
• Assistance in structural/ mechanical repairs and maintenance to the trucks and machinery within the business.
HSEQ Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Comply with all Ellett Contracting HSEQ Policies;
• Work in a safe manner at all times and immediately report all incidents, hazards or near misses to a Manager or Supervisor;
• Complete pre-start checks correctly and report any damage or repairs immediately to the Supervisor;
• Participate in all HSEQ discussions at pre-start and toolbox meetings;
• Actively participate in JHA and Risk Assessment;
• Ensure fitness for work and comply with Ellett Contracting Drug and Alcohol Policy;
• Co-operate at all times with site management in ensuring compliance with Ellett Contracting HSEQ procedures and relevant legislation;
• Do not work outside areas of competency and JSEA procedures;
• Participate in on-site inspections and audits where practicable;
• Be aware of method steps to resolve safety issues;
• Actively participate in HSEQ observations conducted by supervisors and management;
• Advise management of continuous improvement opportunities;
• Complete all training requested to ensure tasks are completed in a safe manner;
• Adhere to Safe Work Instructions and HSEQ information provided by management and supervisors;
• Ensure all tickets and licences are valid and up to date at all times.

• Trade certification in Engineering (Metal Fabrication)
• RIGGER basic
• TLILIC0003 – Forklift Truck Operations
• TLILIC0005 – Licence to Operate Boom – Type Elevating Work Platform
• RIIWHS202D – Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
• MR Class Drivers Licence
• HR Class Drivers Licence

Salary : $73,150-$93,000 +super
