About the role
As Manager on Duty, you’ll direct and oversee all aspects of the Guest Services operations (Front Desk, Instant Service, Concierge Service, Porter Services, Transport Services and Activity Services) to deliver a memorable and unique guest experience and bring the brand to life.

Your day to day
The role involves leading, motivating, and training the team to maximise efficiency while ensuring high service and quality standards. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, conducting performance appraisals, and ensuring compliance with safety, security, and financial procedures, including cash handling and labour cost control. Additionally, the role involves maintaining effective communication with department heads, managing guest relations, and addressing feedback to improve overall guest satisfaction and departmental performance.
What we need from you
Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential, along with fluency in the local language and a tech-savvy, adaptable approach. Previous exposure to a 5-star working environment would be beneficial. Additional requirements include a clean driver’s license, the ability to travel on boats, and ability to obtain a QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol.
Intended commencement date for this position would be the 16th of December 2024, with the role being located on Hayman Island, Queensland.
Appropriate Australian working rights are required for this role.
What we offer
The base salary for this position is between $73,500 p.a. - $80,000 p.a., working a minimum of 38 hours per week across a 7-day roster with shifts spanning from early in the morning until later at night.
