We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Specialist at our Wacol Foods Chullora Facility. We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual who is committed to providing an effective professional service.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the availability, reliability and capability of the plant assets
• Monitor, follow-up and address issues associated with the implementation and process of planned and unplanned maintenance tasks
• Continuous improvement of plant equipment and systems
• Communication with management in relation to equipment and maintenance issues
• Understand and implement quality control techniques
• Proactive approach in the implementation of preventative maintenance
• Be actively involved with the inspections of equipment undergoing rebuild or repair
Criteria:
• Experience in repairs and maintenance in an electro-mechanical discipline or similar;
• Experience in maintenance in an FMCG food environment;
• Carryout maintenance activities to optimise equipment uptime;
• Sound knowledge of OH&S equipment requirements;
• A thorough understanding of maintenance work & practices;
• Experience gained from a heavy industrial organisation or similar;
• Specific experience in meat processing equipment namely, Treif Slicers and dicers, Ishida multi-head weighers, Vemag Fillers, Multivac Thermoformers, & Bizerba metal detectors and labelling systems.
• The ability to implement technical equipment improvements;
• EProven experience with PLC’s and troubleshooting
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations procedures
• Ability to work weekends where required
Salary range $110,000 to $140,000 annual
