Opal Coffee Pty Ltd We are currently seeking a full-time Accountant for our business located in Sydney, Australia. Benefits · Package: $73,150 per annum plus superannuation · Position: Full time (38 hours a week) · Ongoing support from our team Task & Responsibilities · Prepare and analyse financial statements to keep the director informed of the company’s financial status, providing summaries and highlights for easy review. · Generate reports on cash flow, expenses, and revenue to identify any areas of concern or opportunity. · Oversee the company’s budget, ensuring expenditures remain within budgeted limits. · Alert the director or other relevant personnel if there is a risk of overspending or if budget adjustments are needed. · Act as the point of contact with banks and other financial institutions. · Assist the external taxation accountant with preparation of annual tax returns for the company · Provide appropriate advice on business structures, plans and operations where possible · Ensure all financial practices align with internal policies, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements. · Prepare projections and forecasts for the director’s review, helping to plan for future financial needs and strategic goals. · Address and resolve any urgent issues related to finances or business operations that may arise unexpectedly. · Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial reports and verifying compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. · Establishing and managing accounting systems while offering guidance on selecting and implementing computer-based accounting solutions. · Monitoring and managing internal control systems to ensure the data accuracy and reliability. Qualification & Experience · Relevant Bachelors degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience · Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word · Experience working with a Xero accounting software system About Company We are an international specialty green coffee trader headquartered in Australia, New Zealand & USA.
