Ability Action Australia's South Eastern team are looking for Behaviour Support Practitioners who have current suitability at either Entry or Core level - as confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safegaurd Commission.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
  • Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
  • Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework, and with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
  • Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths, as well as ensuring they get more out of life
  • Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc
  • Acting as an advocate and role model for best practice
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
