About the role

As the Motel Manager at Orange Motor Lodge, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of this well-established motel located in the heart of Orange, NSW. This is a full-time position responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient management of staff and resources, and the overall profitability of the business.

What you'll be doing
- Manage all aspects of motel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and customer relations.
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff across departments, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance teams.
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation throughout the motel.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and procurement of necessary supplies.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new and returning guests, leveraging knowledge of PMS RMS Cloud and Channel Manager tools.
- Manage financial operations, including budgeting, invoicing, and reporting on occupancy, revenue, and expenses.
- Respond to customer inquiries, address concerns, and resolve complaints promptly.
- Liaise with owners on strategic decisions and implement new initiatives effectively.
- Oversee front-of-house operations, including bookings, check-ins/outs, and handling guest inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate staff schedules and provide training and support as needed.
- Mentor staff and address conflicts to maintain a cohesive team environment.

What we're looking for

- Preferable atleast 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Motel Manager
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to build and motivate a team
- Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in financial management, including budgeting and reporting
- Proficient in the use of relevant software and technology for motel operations
- Hands-on experience with hotel/motel operations and front desk management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of hospitality and tourism industry regulations and best practices
