Task & Responsibilities Menu Development & Planning Design and update the menu, ensuring a variety of authentic Pakistani and Indian dishes. Innovate and introduce new recipes, while maintaining the authenticity and quality of traditional cuisine. Monitor trends and incorporate seasonal ingredients. Food Preparation & Cooking Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a high standard in accordance with the menu specifications. Oversee the preparation of all food items to ensure timely service. Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of every dish. Kitchen Management Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring everyone is well-versed in preparation techniques. Delegate responsibilities and ensure efficient kitchen operations. Manage inventory, oversee ingredient ordering, and ensure that all kitchen supplies are stocked. Quality Control Ensure food quality and freshness are maintained to the highest standards. Conduct regular checks on ingredients to maintain proper storage and prevent food spoilage. Ensure dishes are presented beautifully and in line with restaurant standards. Health & Safety Compliance Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Ensure the kitchen adheres to health department regulations and restaurant cleanliness standards. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and arrange for maintenance or repairs as needed. Cost Management Manage kitchen budgets and monitor food costs. Minimize waste by ensuring proper storage and efficient use of ingredients. Work with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for ingredients. Qualification & Experience Qualifications: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or an equivalent qualification). Experience: Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen setting. Skills & Attributes: Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques, food preparation, and effective kitchen management.
