Recruitment 24/7 has a vacancy for a Workshop Manager for our client based in the Western Suburbs Region. Applicants who have a degree or extensive proven experience in the engineering, manufacturing or mechanical industry will be highly regarded. This is a permanent role with an attractive salary of $120,000 on offer for the right candidate, starting in the new year. This position is working from 6:00am to 2:00pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have experience in:
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience in repair and remanufacturing operations
Experience as a Supervisor or Lead Hand
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to use machinery and equipment - preferred
Excellent people management abilities with a focus on guiding technical employees
Knowledge of production processes and quality control standards
Experience in customer-facing role will be a strong asset.
experienced in CNC and manual machinery workshop.
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated and results orientated person who is able to meet most of the following criteria:
Professional and effective management/supervise and leadership of team.
Internal planning and prioritisation of workshop team jobs according to the manufacturing plan.
Manage and control resources, ensuring that job hours are aligned to estimated labour requirements and provide clear communication reports to management if hours exceed the agreement.
Identifying training needs for the team through a skills matrix.
Manage the estimations and quotations sector by keeping due dates updated on time in OPTO and with customers.
Provide technical support for quotation along with consultations.
Liaise with customers providing quality assistance and troubleshooting if required.
Provide feedback and communication with customers on job issues, update job status with customers daily.
Manage the workshop infrastructure, assets, and resources, by conducting inspections and uphold safety protocols.
Coordinate and prioritize the daily workflow, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to deadlines, as well as informing customers of dispatch times.
