Our client, TRUEITALIANO PTY LTD t/a Casanova Green Hills, is looking to employ Cooks in its busy venue of Green Hills Shopping Centre, NSW 2323. The positions will be on a full-time basis with a salary ranging from 70-80K AUD per annum plus superannuation, which will be negotiable to the right candidate.
Scope of the role:
- Regularly prepare, cook, and season various foods according to the menu.
- Portion and present food as required ensuring the set quality.
- Ensuring proper storage per controlled temperature guidelines.
- Estimate the quantities and costs of supplies needed, such as food and ingredients.
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure they meet established standards.
- Support senior chefs in planning and developing recipes and menus by providing input and assistance, ensuring adaptability to changing internal and external factors
- Routine kitchen operations, including stock rotation, and necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
- Set up, clean, and organize workstations efficiently.
- Prepare ovens, utensils, and grills for shifts.
- Cook orders in compliance with food health and safety standards and dietary requirements.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (WHS) and HACCP protocols.
To be considered for this role, you should:
- Be willing to relocate if you are interstate or in other cities.
- Be available on both days at weekends and be able to work split shifts.
- Certificates III & IV in Commercial Cookery
- Have at least 2 years of work experience as a COOK
- Ability to work in a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
