We are seeking expressions of interest for a certified Motor Mechanic (Light Vehicle/ Heavy Diesel) to join our team in 2024. With a focus in the 4wd market, we also service and repair small passenger vehicles of all makes and models.
Tasks Include but not limited to:
* Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
* Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
* Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed
* Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
* Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
* Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
* May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls
To be eligible for this position you will require the following:
* Relevant Mechanical qualification (min 2yrs preferred) and Manual C Class driver's licence – Current (preferred)
* Some experience with 4wd accessory fitting would be beneficial.
* Experience with diagnosing faults & auto electrical components - beneficial
* Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment
* Effective time management
* Have excellent work ethic, be motivated, tidy and good communications skills.
* Adhere to safe working practices
* Complete other duties as instructed by your supervisor.
Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year plus superannuation
