Full-time 38 hours per week. 12 months of work on offer
5 roles on offer working in the Feedlot alongside the Livestock team - no experience required.
Starting pay is $24.12/hour (Level 2 of the Site Enterprise Agreement) with additional payments/penalties as per the Pastoral Award 2020. Progressing to higher levels is based on satisfactory skill evaluation. Roles start in February 2025.
Applicants must be fit, as the job entails repetitive lifting, movements and standing in an upright position for the entire shift. Potential to upskill and progression opportunities.
A dedicated training team to provide on and off-the-job training
Monday to Friday 5am to 2pm. Flexibility to work these hours is essential.
The role
Manual and repetitive labour, with lifting up to 20kg
Working with Livestock
Land and crop preparation including cultivation and spraying.
Irrigation operations – manual starting of syphons
Operation and maintenance of machinery & equipment, including broad acre and rowcrop implements and tractors
Cleaning and maintenance of water troughs
Operation of tub grinder – hay cutting and shredding machine
General maintenance of yard/pens
Housekeeping of feed bunks
Assisting the feed team – distributing and cleaning
Adhere to animal welfare and handling requirements
Ability to listen to and follow instructions.
Be punctual and reliable
Criteria
Work well in a team environment
Safety conscious and able to follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Guaranteed commitment to shift times, being flexible and punctual
Ability to conduct physical work in hot and cold environments
Possess a positive working attitude and not afraid to get your hands dirty
Ability to pass a Pre-employment medical, which includes Drug and alcohol testing
Must undergo Q fever screening/testing and vaccination as required.
