Our company has been producing fresh and frozen Australian beef, lamb, veal, mutton, and their by-products for distribution to the domestic market and for export for more than 45 years.
Our company is seeking a full-time Production Operator for our facility in Regency Park, South Australia 5010.
The salary offered is $73,150 per annum plus superannuation.
Duties and responsibilities
The work involves operating machinery and processing of animal by-products with the use of rendering equipment. The Production Operator would undertake the following duties and responsibilities:
• Utilise rendering equipment to process livestock by-product materials to produce tallow, grease, blood meal, and high-protein bone meal.
• Using production equipment to dry the concentrated protein and ground the product for distribution.
• Operate production machinery, including calibrating equipment to monitoring gauges, adjust as required to produce tallow, grease, blood meal, bone meal and other products.
• Set up cleaning and maintenance schedules to prevent problems by keeping machines in good working order in accordance with internal policies.
• Inspect finished products, take samples, and undertake product quality control.
• Prepare products for dispatch.
The applicants will have the following skills and experience:
• At least 2 years full time prior experience in the meat production industry.
• An ability to assess and prioritise maintenance, repair and servicing where required.
• Attention to detail in supervision of operations.
