We are currently seeking a full-time Chef for our business located in Toowoomba City, QLD. Your duties will include: Assist with menu development Stock management with estimating food and labour costs as well as ordering food and supplies Ensure the kitchen activities operate in an efficient manner Overseeing the quality of dishes throughout all stages of preparation and presentation. Addressing food preparation concerns with Managers and appropriate staff members. create and cook fresh and delicious foods demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures to the team maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene assist with the selection and training of staff Check the freshness and quality of ingredients Discuss food preparation issues with the manager and other staff and monitor the preparation and presentation of the dishes Benefits Package: $70,000 to $75,000 per annum plus superannuation Position: Full-time (38 hours a week) Ongoing support from our team Task & Responsibilities Work with the management and set daily and weekly production levels for the kitchen, Maintain stock levels according to the requirements of the business and understand how this can have an effect on food costs. Qualification & Experience Minimum of a relevant Diploma and at least 2 years of work experience or three years of experience may substitute for formal qualification.
