Position Overview:
The purpose of this Hairdressing Apprenticeship in Blackall is to provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge through completing on the job working experience and training with an employer whilst completing a nationally recognised course of training through a registered training organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Hairdressers cut, wash, colour, style, straighten and blow dry their customers' hair. They also provide treatments for hair and scalp conditions. Suitable for people who enjoy connecting with others, have good near-vision and a steady hand. Good active listening skills are important. Day-to-day tasks may include: - providing advice on hair care and hairstyles - washing and conditioning hair - colouring and styling hair with chemical solutions - cutting hair with scissors, clippers and razors - styling hair and adding hair extensions - cleaning work areas and sanitising
