Job description:
? Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements to ensure vehicles are operating efficiently.
? Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical expertise, identifying issues, and recommending appropriate repair solutions.
? Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess their condition and identify any potential safety hazards or maintenance requirements.
? Carry out repairs and replacements of faulty components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and suspension components, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
? Perform tune-ups and adjustments to engine components, fuel systems, ignition systems, and exhaust systems to optimise vehicle performance and fuel efficiency.
? Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used, labour hours, and diagnostic findings, in compliance with workshop procedures and regulatory requirements.
? Provide professional advice and guidance to customers regarding vehicle maintenance, repair options, and preventative care measures, ensuring their understanding and satisfaction.
Qualifications/Attributes:???
? Must hold a Certificate III in Automotive Technology or 3 years in lieu of qualification.
? Must possess at least a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
? Must have proficiency in using diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools, and computerised systems for vehicle diagnosis and repair.
? Sound knowledge of vehicle systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
? Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
Salary Range: $70,000-$75,000 p.a. excluding superannuation.
