Truck Driver

Salary - $73150-$80000 plus Superannuation per annum

Role and Responsibilities:
• Operate a truck or delivery vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Transport goods to and from specified locations according to schedule.
• Inspect and verify goods before departure and upon arrival.
• Perform routine pre-start checks and maintenance on the truck, including oil changes, tire checks, and brake inspections.
• Report any mechanical issues or vehicle malfunctions to the managers.
• Keep the vehicle clean and ensure it is in good working order.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure the safety of oneself, other road users, and the goods.
• Comply with federal and state regulations, including those related to hazardous materials if applicable.
• Communicate effectively with customers, handling any issues or concerns professionally.
• Ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage and provide excellent service.
• Complete and submit all necessary documents, including proof of delivery, inspection reports, and incident reports.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to ensure efficient operations.
Skills/Qualification:
• Minimum qualification of year 12 in Australia or Overseas
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must have 2 years’ experience of driving in Australia/Overseas
• Valid driver license with a clean driving record.
• Strong driving skills and knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including loading and unloading goods.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Prolonged periods of sitting while driving.
• Occasional exposure to adverse weather conditions.
Work Environment:
• Primarily on the road, may also including loading dock and customer places.
• May involve irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
