Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate General Dentist to join our established dental practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care, including preventive, restorative, and therapeutic treatments to patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and treat dental conditions: Perform thorough examinations, interpret diagnostic images (e.g., X-rays), and diagnose dental problems, such as cavities, gum disease, and misaligned teeth.
• Treatment planning: Develop individualised treatment plans tailored to patient needs, providing both short- and long-term solutions for optimal oral health.

• Restorative procedures: Perform fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, and other restorative dental treatments.
• Periodontal care: Diagnose and treat gum diseases, including scaling and root planing and other periodontal procedures.
• Oral surgery: Carry out basic dental surgical procedures, such as extractions and minor soft tissue surgeries.
• Patient communication: Discuss treatment options, procedures, and post-treatment care with patients to ensure they fully understand their dental care plan.
• Referral management: Refer patients to dental specialists when necessary for advanced care (e.g., orthodontics, oral surgery).
• Clinical documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Team collaboration: Work with dental assistants, hygienists, and office staff to ensure a smooth patient experience and efficient office operations.
Key Requirements:
• Qualifications:
o A Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS), Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc), or an equivalent qualification.
o Registration with the relevant Australian dental regulatory body (e.g., Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, AHPRA).
o Valid Working with Children Check (if applicable).
• Skills and Experience:
o Proven experience as a General Dentist, with a strong foundation in general dentistry procedures, including restorative work, preventive care, and basic oral surgery in a similar environment.
o Proficiency in the use of dental software for patient management and record-keeping.
o Excellent patient care and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex dental procedures in simple terms.
