Our client, an Australian gold explorer is currently seeking a Senior Open Pit Mining Engineer to lead their team. Working collaboratively with the mining technical operations team to ensure mine designs, schedules and development plans to support mine production.
Requirements:
Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering;
Excellent analytical, management, organisation and problem solving skills;
Quarry Managers Ticket;
Competent using Vulcan.
Position Duties:
Develop and deliver short term plans, drill and blast plans and weekly mining plans;
Maintain and modify as required, designs for pits, dumps and mine infrastructire in accordance with procedures;
Prepare monthly and quarterly development and production schedules and face positions and report on compliance to the plans;
Prepare medium and long term ore resrves estimate.
