Position Overview:
The purpose of this Butchery Apprenticeship in Crows Nest is to provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge through completing on the job working experience and training with an employer whilst completing a nationally recognised course of training through a registered training organisation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Butchers are responsible for the slaughtering, processing and sale of meat. They work with a wide variety of animal species, including cows, pigs, sheep, poultry and fish. Butchers may also be responsible for cutting up the meat into smaller pieces or preparing it for consumption by cooking or smoking it.
