Our client is a unique and market leading services group based in Brisbane CBD. They are now looking for a Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team during a period of exciting growth and development.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
Assist with month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations (payroll, bank, intercompany, fuel tax credits), and variance analysis for financial reports.
Maintain the fixed asset register and manage depreciation.
Track costs for projects and operations, and support invoicing, accounts receivable, and fuel tax credit claims.
Prepare audit documentation and participate in finance projects, identifying process improvements.
To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications/skills:
CA/CPA qualified or studying; Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance.
2-4 years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of reconciliations, general ledger, and month-end close.
