The Role
As a Painter with Vic Wide Coatings, you’ll take on a variety of projects, using your skills to enhance the aesthetic and structural integrity of surfaces. Working closely with a professional team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the company’s high standards of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or holes to ensure a smooth finish.
2. Painting & Coating: Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
3. Detail Work: Execute fine detailing, edging, and finishing to achieve consistent, high-quality results.
4. Color Matching: Mix and match paints to meet client specifications, ensuring perfect color consistency.
5. Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
6. Worksite Management: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a Painter who is passionate about their craft and eager to deliver outstanding results.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in residential, commercial, or industrial painting.
3. Strong understanding of surface preparation, application techniques, and materials.
4. Ability to interpret plans and work independently or as part of a team.
5. Knowledge of health and safety practices in painting environments.
