V&V Walsh is proud to be a major meat supplier to Australia’s leading supermarkets &butchers. V&V Walsh Meat Processors & Exporters is a state- of-the-art dual species meat processing facility based in the Southwest of Western Australia.
The Opportunity:
On the back of continued growth, V&V Walsh are seeking a passionate Mechanical fitter to join our team on a full-time basis. As our Maintenance Fitter you will be be responsible for the safe work practices, preventive maintenance, equipment servicing, and repairs of plant and equipment to manufactures specifications on site.
Your Essential Skills and Experience:
You'll get to showcase your skills in
Perform basic welding, maintenance, and repair work without supervision
Ability to trouble shoot and work safely under pressure
Fault finding on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Carry out major mechanical overhauls, refurbishments & repairs to equipment
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting) or equivalent
Sound knowledge of Pneumatics, Hydraulics, SEW drives, conveyors
Understand and implement Root Cause Analysis
Promote Safe working practices
Experience with using MEX systems (CMMS)
Salary Range : $37.00 to $52.00 per hour
