An excellent opportunity exists for suitably qualified and experienced individual’s to join the Rex Engineering team as a full-time B1.1 or B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME), for its’ Brisbane base.
Reporting:
This position reports to the Line Maintenance Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
-Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on Regional Express Group aircraft and aircraft components within a maintenance team.
-Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out to a high standard, ensuring integrity and robustness of aircraft to meet operational requirements?
-Service and clean hangar, tools and ground equipment
-Participate in aircraft recovery when necessary
-Observe all standards and procedures contained within Civil Aviation Safety Authority regulations, as well as individual aircraft systems maintenance.
Essential Selection Criteria:
-B1.1 or B2 Type rated licence.
-A demonstrated ability to perform aircraft and component maintenance, modification and troubleshooting in accordance with regulatory requirements, under minimal supervision and to strict deadlines.
-Ability to work a flexible 38-hour work week plus additional hours as required.
-Willingness to accept the work environment of aircraft heavy maintenance, including component repair and refurbishment maintenance.
-A sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and documentation
-Working knowledge of WH&S procedures
-A valid driver’s licence
-Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
-A high level of motivation with a team-focused work ethic
-Meet the necessary requirements to hold an Aviation Security Identity Card and Airside Driving Licence.
Preferred Selection Criteria:
-SAAB 340 B1 and B2 licence highly desirable
-Experience on transport category aircraft
-Line maintenance operations experience
-Holding of other aircraft type ratings will be an added advantage
