We are seeking an enthusiastic Psychologist to join our team. The position is responsible for providing culturally safe, clinical and professional assessment and interventions from a social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) framework which affects the work processes, services, and clients, carers and stakeholders of the speciality service.
Utilising a SEWB framework to provide holistic, trauma-informed, evidence based, clinical assessment, interventions and support in the areas of mental health (MH) alcohol and other drugs (AOD) and SEWB to forensic clients appropriate to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people.
The position is responsible for providing expert advice to the multidisciplinary team on program and clinical issues. Providing leadership, supervision, mentorship and education to staff using evidence based concepts and research. Following defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces and fostering a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modelling behaviour.
Prison Health provides clinical services to adults sentenced and residing at Alice Springs Correctional Centre (ASCC), low security prison reintegration centre within a multidisciplinary service delivery health team framework.
