We are currently seeking a full-time Cook and Chef for our business located in Pyrmont. Benefits In return you will receive: Package: $73,150 per annum plus superannuation Position: Full time (38 hours a week) Ongoing support from our team Task & Responsibilities As a CHEF duties will include: Menu planning Estimating food and labour costs on all items deal and negotiate with numerous suppliers to obtain best possible pricing monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Communicate effectively with management and relevant staff on all relevant kitchen matters Demonstrate techniques and cooking procedures to staff Prepare and cook extensive menu selection Explain and adhere to all OH&S, Food Safety and Workplace Policies Recruit and train staff Freeze and preserve foods As a COOK, duties will include: examining foodstuffs to ensure quality regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment preparing and cooking food seasoning food during cooking portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes storing food in temperature-controlled facilities preparing food to meet special dietary requirements may plan menus and estimate food requirements may train other kitchen staff and apprentices Qualification & Experience Requirements of position CHEF: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and 2 years of relevant work experience or at least 3 years of relevant experience COOK: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV and at least 2 years of relevant work experience or 3 years of relevant work experience to substitute formal qualification About Company If you are interested in this position, please send us your resume.
