Position Title: Full-time Mechanical Engineer
Salary: AUD 73,150 + Superannuation

Join a leading manufacturer of Electrical Switchboards based in Mulgrave, VIC, as a Mechanical Engineer and contribute to a team dedicated to innovation and excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to play a pivotal role in maintaining, designing, and enhancing our production systems and products.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform maintenance of production plant and machinery to ensure optimum performance.
• Conduct regular inspections to monitor machinery efficiency and identify potential issues.
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe operation of machinery by operators.
• Design sheet metal enclosures for switchboards, including detailed technical specifications.
• Program punching machines and prepare folding drawings for fabrication.
• Design new components and products, including prototyping and testing.
• Draft workshop instructions for machining and fabrication tasks.
• Oversee quality control processes to ensure adherence to product standards.
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Monitor and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support manufacturing success.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering.

Highly Valued Experience:
• Hands-on experience in fabrication workshops.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software.
• Familiarity with fabrication workshop machinery, including punching, folding, welding, and powder coating.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical drawings and instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and creativity in a fast-paced environment.
• Consistently manage and meet project deadlines for efficient task execution.
• Expertise in 3D modeling is an advantage.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
