The school supports around 100 students, from Kindergarten to Year 12, with moderate to severe intellectual and learning disabilities. You'll be welcomed into a community committed to creating meaningful change.
About the Role As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the development of each student, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for learning and growth. This school enrolls students from Kindergarten to Year 12, providing diversity and flexibility in the role. With a team of +/- 60 committed staff members, the school's close-knit community ensures strong collaboration for the best student outcomes!
What You'll Do

Plan and deliver tailored lessons using Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) to guide differentiated instruction.
Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists and aides, to provide holistic student support.
Build strong relationships with parents and caregivers, maintaining open communication about student progress.
Contribute to a positive school culture that prioritises inclusivity, respect, and continuous improvement.
Play an active role in initiatives to maintain and enhance the school's committed and supportive environment.

About You

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Special Education preferred).
Current NESA accreditation to teach in NSW & current NSW Working with Children Check
Valid teaching certification with experience working with students with moderate to severe intellectual and learning disabilities.
Passionate about supporting students with diverse abilities and skilled in developing and implementing IEPs.
A collaborative, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with parents and caregivers.
