Misty Mountain Eggs are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Poultry Farmer to join their team in Chum Creek 3777.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Breeding and racing poultry livestock for eggs and meat
- Close monitoring and maintenance of poultry livestock welfare checks
- Ensure fences, cages, pallet equipment, feeding nutritional and water supply systems are maintained daily
- Temperatures, catchments, sterilizing machines, grading, and packaging stock are organized and daily
- Organisation of the movement of poultry to enhance feeding and feeding opportunities
- Arrangement of sales, purchase and transportation of poultry and produce
- Plan and conduct staff training
- Plan and supervise staff to ensure pens, sheds, cages, fertilizing, weeds, and pest control are maintained
• Analyse and evaluate business operation records. Develop and maintain marketing to promote and selling poultry products or services, including market research and advertising
• Identify business capital including budgeting, taxation, debt and loan management
Skills and Abilities:
• Must have at least 2 years' experience in the related Industry
• All training is provided on site by Farm Management and does not necessarily require any extra academic qualifications
- Be able to perform the duties required on the farm in a good, reliable and competent manner
• Be able to work as a part of a team but also under limited supervision
• Bo able to handle physical work completing repetitive work and standing for extended periods of time.
Salary range is $70,000-$85,000pa commensurate with experience
