We take pride in offering a diverse menu using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, and ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. You will be expected to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate effectively with kitchen staff, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes.
Ensure consistency in food presentation and quality.
Assist in planning and creating new menu items, including seasonal specials.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory as needed.
Supervise kitchen staff and assist in training junior cooks.
Check temperatures of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment to ensure safe food handling practices.
Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Handle dietary requests and modify recipes for customers with specific dietary requirements.
Adhere to occupational health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
