POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Roof Plumber at UA Building Services, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing roof plumbing systems, including flashings, metallic roof and wall claddings, gutters, downpipes, and rainwater products. You will work on both residential and commercial projects, ensuring that all installations meet Australian standards for quality and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Estimation and Costing:
Assess project requirements, provide accurate estimations, and assist in preparing project budgets.
Measurement and Material Ordering:
Conduct on-site measurements, determine material needs, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of roofing materials.
Site Management and Job Scheduling:
Plan and organize roofing projects, including scheduling tasks and coordinating with other trades and subcontractors to ensure efficient workflow.
Quality Control:
Inspect installations to ensure they meet Australian standards and the company’s quality requirements. Address any issues or defects promptly.
Team Supervision and Guidance:
Lead a team of workers, providing supervision and guidance to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
Installation and Repairs:
Perform installation and repair of roof plumbing components, including flashings, metallic roof and wall claddings, fascia, gutters, downpipes, and related products according to project specifications.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with industry safety regulations and company policies. Conduct regular safety checks and maintain a safe working environment.
Client Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate III in Roof Plumbing
At least 3 years of experience in roof plumbing, with a proven track record of successful installations and repairs.
Registration or licensing as a Roof Plumber is required.
Strong knowledge of roofing materials and installation techniques
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to read and interpret building plans and project specifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
