ABOUT US:
Pardesi Vaishno Dhaba is a renowned pure vegetarian and vegan Indian restaurant located in Dandenong, VIC. We are dedicated to serving authentic “desi” cuisine with a focus on traditional Indian flavors, cooked with desi ghee and served in a classic Dhaba-style setting. Our menu features a variety of Indian favorites, including street food like Pav Bhaji, Chole Bhature, and Amritsari Kulcha. We also offer catering services for events, providing flavorful vegetarian meals that delight our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of vegetarian and vegan Indian dishes in line with our authentic menu and recipes.
Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen at all times, adhering to food safety and OH&S standards.
Monitor temperatures of ovens, cool rooms, and freezers to ensure food safety compliance.
Inspect ingredients and prepared dishes to ensure quality and freshness.
Efficiently manage multiple orders simultaneously, ensuring timely service.
Measure, mix, and cook ingredients as per the recipes, adjusting based on customer preferences.
Carve and portion dishes, add sauces and garnishes, and ensure attractive plating for service.
Receive and store goods following food handling and safety guidelines.
Manage stock levels, place orders, and receive deliveries as needed.
Assist in menu planning and making modifications based on seasonal availability or customer feedback.
REQUIREMENTS:
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cook, preferably in an Indian cuisine setting.
Skilled in preparing authentic Indian vegetarian and vegan dishes, ensuring quality and attractive presentation.
Thorough knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Strong time management, multitasking, and quality control, handling multiple orders simultaneously.
Effective in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
Clear communication with staff, flexibility in recipe adjustments, and support in menu development.
