About the Role:
We are looking for a full-time, experienced accountant with a strong work ethic to join our team. Austrian Citizen and Australia Permanent Resident are preferred, and our company welcomes all skilled job seekers with full-time working rights.
You will need to perform the following duties:
- Preparation of financial statements for Trusts, Companies, Partnerships, and Individuals
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS), Instalment Activity Statements (IAS), Payroll Tax returns, and Annual GST returns
- Tax planning and business advisory – providing clients with valuable insights and solutions
- Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regarding client tax returns, payment plans, and other tax obligations
- Bank reconciliations, data entry, and coding using accounting software including MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks
- Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate lodgement of tax returns and related services
- Keeping up-to-date with industry changes through professional development opportunities, and actively contribute to maintaining high team standards
- Reporting directly to the Principal and contributing to team goals
- Performing other required tasks
The essential requirements for this position:
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role with at least a relevant bachelor's degree (Accounting or Finance)
• Self-motivated and highly organised
• Possess an excellent level of both verbal and written communication skills and able to build and maintain good customer relationship
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
Salary setting
AUD 75,000 – AUD 85,000 plus 11.5% superannuation
